Since 1993, ATL Lasertechnik has specialized in the development of small excimer lasers. ATL is one of the leaders in lasers for corneal sculpting, but small excimers are steadily finding new applications as a cost effective alternative to larger sources in precision micromaching applications.

Small is beautiful!

• High Beam Brightness	Though pulse energy, at 20 mJ(KrF) is only 1/20th of typical pulse energy of a modern mid-range source, the small beam size, low divergence and short pulse duration actually give the ATLEX laser a higher peak power density.
• Low Operating Costs	With a mere 2.5 l vessel volume, a single bottle of premixed gas gives 50 – 100 fills, typically 1 – 2 years of operation.
• Ideal Beam Profile	The ATL patented discharge technology gives a top-hat beam profile much better suited to materials processing that the quasi-gaussian beam resulting from corona preionization.
